Satellite shows next storm in middle of the Nation headed northeast to bring wet weather for the East tonight into Saturday night. Another system along the west coast to bring wet weather there.

Map above is for Saturday evening. Front and low in the east bringing mainly rain to that area. Some light precip.
in Northern Rockies...otherwise quiet elsewhere.

Map above shows amount of rainfall for Saturday. Heaviest to be the bullseye over New Jersey - NYC ....where 1- 1 1/2" of rain possible.  Below....you will notice 3 maps...these are
in order...Canadian....UKMET.....and The Euro. All of these models indicating a significant coastal storm for East next Tuesday....and we agree.

All 3 models would also lead us to believe that most of the precip. with this storm would be rain...since arctic air is nowhere to be found. However...with systems such as these..they can build their own atmosphere and especially inland...a heavy wet snow cannot be ruled out.  Now...below..the GFS Model ( U.S. owned)  This model hints at a storm but in no way is close to the others. That is not to say it is wrong, yet. So...if The Euro and others turn out correct...why is it that our own model is not as accurate. Simpy.... money.  We do not put the amount of money into our weather forecasting as so these other countries.   Have a nice weekend.
