As has been anticipated for quite some time now, the weather pattern has remained the same. A Bermuda high remains camped out in the ocean and as illustrated by this Infrared image of the US during Saturday early evening, things look quite similar to yesterday and will have the same general feel into next week.
Temperatures soaring well into the 100's across the southwest continue throughout the weekend a huge ridge remains in the west (Temperature in Phoenix, Arizona as of 3:51 PM MST was 118 Fahrenheit!!!). Many areas will see day time temperatures well over 110 degrees going towards the Fourth of July! What will transpire though in terms of precipitation remains to be seen as scattered showers and thunderstorms still appear to be the path the Eastern US may be going down.
