Satellite shows newly formed subtropical storm Ana off Georgia. It will move slowly northward. Heavy rain and storms in Lower Mississippi Valley.
Today's severe threat in yellow..brown and red. Red indicates a very good chance...which happens to be Oklahoma again.
Above - track of Ana per Nat'l Hurricane Center. Ana has 50 mph winds and moving north. Should come inland near the N/S Carolina border Sunday....then could reach Montauk, NY by Tuesday as a depression.
Map above is for Sunday - MOm's Day. Ana is along the S.Carolina coast. Storm in Plains will be a big weather maker as well.
Severe weather threat Sunday covers a large area from dark green to red....and again red indicating strong chances of severe.
Amounts of rainfall on Sunday. Heaviest along the Carolinas with Ana.....Texas.....Northern Plains.
High temperatures expected for next Wednesday following Ana and cold front. A cooling down for lots of people.
