Swirl in Rockies is the first big spring storm. Severe weather today thru the weekend in the south and Plains...then heavy rain and wind for the East early next week.
Picture
Map for Saturday....great weather for Northeast and Mid Atlantic...best of the year. Rockies storm in Plains...worst weather of the year.

Today's severe weather threat - yellow and brown.

This is the Canadian model for Monday nite...which I like the best...since I think it shows the best fit. Rockies low in
upper Midwest with rain and snow....second low- mid Atlantic with wind and heavy rain.
Picture
Models depicting 1- 1 1/2" of rain with storm early next week...you can easily double that across the mid Atlantic and Northeast.

Japan model for Mon. night - latching on to the idea of very heavy rain in the Northeast.

High temperatures expected late next week.  Some 10 to 15 degrees below normal in the North...you can bet on some wet snowshowers there as well.   Have a safe weekend.
