The blocking low in North Atlantic has forced wet weather down across the Mid Atlantic. Old front south of Florida will continue to cause showers in south Fla. Showers working through upper Midwest will weaken as they move east...all indicating rather calm weather for the first weekend in May.
Total rainfall for the next 7 days. Clearly you can see that the upper Midwest south to Texas will be very wet...as well as southern Florida. Temperatures will be turning warmer in the East....so most of the nation has turned the corner.
All of the above models are for late next week. Attention to the Southeast Coast. All still indicating something tropical.
Canadian still leads the pack as far as timing - it is earlier and brings the system right into Delmarva. Once again..this could take on tropical characteristics and would be given the name ANA. For now...enjoy your weekend and be safe,
