Picture
Lots of things to notice on this picture. First....notice the cold front from Great Lakes to Plains...then into The Pacific Northwest. That front will bring heavy rain to The East Tuesday then cooler. Look at the swirl off the Northern California coast. Another upper air low..that will move east in time. Now look at the tropics south of Cuba. There is a circulation there and it should be watched.
Picture
Map for late today....shows complex low and frontal system in Great Lakes. This will bring much needed rain to parts of
The East Tuesday. Cool high pressure over the Plains.
Picture
Above...amounts of rain to fall from Tuesday into Wednesday.
Picture
Above...satellite Africa.  We see 2 disturbances: one off the coast other still inland. Hurricane center monitoring the one off the coast as it moves west.  We also need to watch system south of Cuba. This time of year it is the African coast that generally begins to supply tropical threats. For now..be safe. Later.
