Some light rain and snow from Ohio Valley to East Coast but a more significant storm pulling out of Rockies. That storm will bring near blizzard conditions to Central Plains...severe weather - south - rain East this weekend. Below - severe weather threat today in dark green - yellow - orange.

Last weekend's storm is off Nova Scotia and trying to back into Maine. Spotty precip in Midwest could affect Northeast Friday night. Storm in California will affect East Saturday night. That storm will also bring severe weather outbreak tomorrow...see severe outlook below. Very mild weather is on the way for Eastern third this weekend.

Satellite-radar above shows snow moving across  New England...2"-5" there...snowshowers and lake effect over the Great Lakes. Rain over Gulf States. Arctic air will take over much of the Nation from Wednesday through Friday. Wet in southeast.....and that will work north up the East Coast this weekend. Below - animated maps for the next 2 days.

Satellite/radar shows rain from Gulf Coast to East Coast. It will clear out later today.....while cold air plunges south across the Plains and heads east. That cold air will make things wintry for the next storm along the East Coast Thursday nite into Friday. That storm will likely bring the first snows of the season from Appalachians into Northeast.
