Lots of things to notice on this picture. First....notice the cold front from Great Lakes to Plains...then into The Pacific Northwest. That front will bring heavy rain to The East Tuesday then cooler. Look at the swirl off the Northern California coast. Another upper air low..that will move east in time. Now look at the tropics south of Cuba. There is a circulation there and it should be watched.

Above...satellite Africa. We see 2 disturbances: one off the coast other still inland. Hurricane center monitoring the one off the coast as it moves west. We also need to watch system south of Cuba.
