Quiet until Christmas week......

Picture
Satellite shows lots of action....and computer models are doing their best to resolve this hectic pattern.  One system is moving off Maine. Another noted over The Dakotas. We can see a stream of tropical moisture from Mexico down south as well as another system moving into the Pacific Northwest.
Picture
Map is for this evening...high pressure controls much of the Nation. Wet weather in Texas will slide east.  Wet weather in
Pacific Northwest will also move east.  These systems may combine to produce some very stormy weather in the Eastern Half of The Nation by Christmas Eve Day and night.
This will have large impacts upon travel...so stay with us as details become more certain.

Map above is for next Wednesday - Christmas eve,
Storm in Great Lakes is large and strong. North and west of the center...near blizzard conditions.  South and east - wind driven rain and even thunderstorms.
Picture
Above...amounts of rain (or snow) between Tuesday and Thursday next week. Most places in The East get at least 1" of rain...many places 2".  Where it is snow...that could easily be 10" +.
More on this tomorrow. Stay safe.
