Satellite shows cold front moving across The East. Next system organizing in Rockies...major player next week for much of The Eastern 2/3 of the nation.
Today's map shows cold front moving off the east coast. Pleasant weather eastern half. Next cold front in Rockies will be a major player in the east next week...bringing bouts of wetness and cooler than normal weather to a week which is normally the hottest of the summer.
Above...upper air map showing jet stream winds early next week. The "H" in Texas denotes a ridge - so dry and hot up thru The Rockies. The "L" north of Gt. Lakes denotes a low or trof...so cooler and wetter down to Southeastern States.
Above...rainfall amounts from Sunday thru Tuesday next week. Blue = 1" or more.....all due to that strong jet and trof.
Map above shows how daytime temperatures will average thru August 2.......blue = below.........Unbelievable !
ABove...shows us daytime temperatures from Aug. 2- thru Aug. 6- notice still below the average for much of the Nation. If you live in areas of blue and don't like cooler than normal....head for the orange places. Be safe.
