Florence has weakened overnight to a Cat 2...still nothing to sneeze at but there's a good chance she will rebuild before hitting land over se N.Carolina. Florence will still slow down and enable her wind and rain to become the threat all have been talking about. Early next week the ghost of Florence rides up Appalachians - may bring a pounding of rain in her track. Below - today's severe weather threat in dark green and yellow - followed by her track and timetable of wind.
Below- animated maps for the next 2 days...followed by rainfall amounts over next 7 days. Coastal Carolinas will see over 30" of rain from Florence.
Lastly - a look at the Atlantic busy tropical basin. No worries from Helene or Joyce. Issac on the other hand needs to be watched as he may reach a hurricane and head toward Florida. Gulf of Mexico disturbance will likely become Kirk and move to wet down Texas even more. Be safe.
