Early morning satellite - radar shows snow over the Mid Atlantic and it will push north and bring snow to New England today...most of which will be light. Snow changes to a wintry mix this evening and then all rain in the Northeast. Western NY
and PA will not be as lucky where they can see up to 8" of snow.
Early morning temperatures are still very cold in New England....thus reason for snow there and now in Mid Atlantic followed by ice.

You don't have to be a meteorologist to spot a very intense storm off N.Carolina. This storm will bring blizzard conditions to Eastern most Long Island and Cape Cod area today. ANother
strong trof noted but the "U" shaped black area. This will serve to bring down some very cold air to the Northeast this weekend.

Boston. Swirl seen in Plains will head south and be a big storm off the Southeastern Coast this weekend. System in Northwest will be another winter storm for Northeast next week.

Upper air pattern expected next week which shows the polar vortex over Hudson Bay in Canada and a strong ridge in Western Canada up to Alaska. This pattern means that the arctic flood gates will again open....so next week will be anything for quiet.
