A clipper low off the Mid Atlantic brings a touch of snow there today. Next clipper in No. Plains brings snow from upper Midwest to Northeast in next 2 days. Elsewhere - quiet. Look at the satellite and notice the doughnut off Cape Cod...the former nor'easter....on it's way to Nova Scotia. Last California storm in Midwest - headed east very quickly. Current upper air jet stream showing noticeable trofs and ridges...thus the reason for the stormy weather. Below...projected flow for Feb. 1st. Such a flow would indicate quiet.....but for how long ? One storm heading off New England. 2nd storm Texas...will head for Mid Atlantic and weaken out. 3rd storm West Coast - heads to south and then north and will crank out wind and rain for East late weekend and early next week.
