Satellite pix shows a large area of showers and storms from The Great Lakes to Southern Plains. This area and cold front will move east and be off the east coast by Thursday.
Above..map valid for Tuesday evening. Cold front moving thru Ohio Valley. Aside from that feature...not much to talk about.
Above..today's outline (yellow) for threat of severe thunderstorms.
Two maps above...show how daytime temperatures will average . First map...thru July 17th......second map thru July 21. Much of the Eastern 2/3 of The Nation will be below the average which is quite unusual for July. Most models show a large upper storm in Central Canada that will cause the jet stream to plunge south and enable cool air.
Above...maps showing weather systems from this Friday thru next Tuesday. Notice how cold front moves off east coast next Tuesday amd cool high pressure is all the way back over The Plains......that's the cooling off trend. Be safe...later.
